Scan for Infections
Systweak Antivirus for Windows provides three scan types, which you can use to scan your PC for malicious files, malware, viruses, spyware, and other nasty threats.
- Quick Scan
- Deep Scan
- Custom Scan
Your chosen scan method will determine how Systweak Antivirus will do comprehensive scanning.
To run Quick Scan, launch Systweak Antivirus, click Scan Types present in the left pane, and click the Quick Scan button. Likewise, you can choose Deep Scan and Custom Scan.
Quick Scan
This scan type checks for the threats in Memory and Startup objects, where threats commonly hide. A Quick Scan is faster than a Deep and Custom Scan but is less comprehensive. Areas included in Quick Scan include
- System processes, drivers, operating system processes, and other apps.
- Executable files and startup items.
Deep Scan
As the name implies, this scan type is more thorough. We recommend running Deep Scan once a week or at least once in 15 days. It scans the following areas:
- Memory is allocated by operating system processes, drivers, and other installed apps.
- Executable files
- Files stored on local disk drivers
Most importantly, it performs a heuristic analysis to detect and protect against threats that might have been left by Quick or Custom Scan.
Custom Scan
It lets you choose what and where you want Systweak Antivirus for Windows to scan on your system. This scan type takes time, depending on the location to be scanned. You can use Quick Scan or run Deep Scan to avoid long wait times unless there is a specific location, drive, or scan.
To customize virus scanning using Systweak Antivirus, click Scan Types in the left pane > click the Custom Scan button > select the directory you want to scan, and click the SCAN NOW button.
